TenantCare.ca was founded by Michael Gauer, a licensed Toronto REALTOR® (Gauer Homes), after watching too many good renters lose out — not because they were bad tenants, but because they were competing unrepresented against a professionalized landlord side.

Landlords have agents, screening platforms, and standardized paperwork. Renters get classified ads and crossed fingers. We level that field: full MLS® access, verified listings, professionally packaged applications, negotiated offers, and a lease reviewed line-by-line for your protection.

And because the landlord’s side customarily pays the fee in a rental transaction, all of it is free for the tenants we represent. We think that’s how it should be — and it’s why renters trust us, refer their friends, and come back when they buy their first home.

What we believe

• Renters deserve representation. A lease is a serious legal contract. Nobody should sign one alone.
• Education is protection. An informed renter doesn’t get scammed, overcharged, or pushed into illegal terms.
• Free must mean free. No fees, no upsells, no fine print. In writing, every time.
